To coincide with the University of Maine's Digital Humanities Week from 26 to 29 September 2011, the New Media Department's Still Water lab has produced a news blog featuring stories by digital humanists, including HASTAC luminary Cathy Davidson.

Visitors to the site can read, rate, and comment on the stories in a style reminiscent of news recommendation sites like Digg, Reddit, or Slashdot.

The conference itself, meanwhile, is a week-long series of presentations and workshops featuring sociologists of Twitter, Google Maps hackademics, and best-selling Kindle authors. More at http://DigitalCuration.UMaine.edu.
