Mission: Evolution - Updates on Spore Game Play

The Mission: Evolution Project, where Grade 10 students explore the science in Spore then expand on this in Spore Galactic Adventures, kicked off game play in November 2010. Over the course of 10 workshops, eleven students from Blacksburg High School played Spore and documented game play to determine the rigor of science conveyed in the game. The goal was to investigate how to correct misconceptions while familiarizing themselves with the game mechanics and aesthetics of Spore.

Beginning January 31, 2011 students will begin to design their own games in Spore Galactic Adventures. We will share updates and photos as students and mentors work together in preparation for the DML Conference in March 2011.
