This is an animation of a brilliant and funny ten-minute talk called The Secret Powers of Time by Stanford professor Phil Zimbardo.  He's an innovate psychologist and expert on human nature, who is widely known for the famous 1971 Stanford Prisoner Study.  (He also happens to be the father of my lovely friend Zara.)

Dr. Zimbardo says a lot of interesting things here about how people from different cultures/countries/cities think about time, and how that impacts our society. He also talks about how the amount of time young people spend online and playing video games is leading to their brains being "digitally rewired," and says that this change MUST be reflected in the classroom as well as in any attempts to communicate with this generation. He calls the "analog classroom" a disaster for kids who want and need a sense of control.

Anyway, stop reading this and just watch!
