About Ryan Carney
I'm Ryan Carney, a graduate student in digital storytelling at Ball State University in Muncie, IN. I received my undergrad also from Ball State in telecommunications. I currently teach two sections of beginning video production to undergraduates, and I love every minute of it. After getting my Master's, I'd like to go on for a Ph.D. and teach computer-mediated communication.
I've done a fair amount of media research, including usability tests and participant observation studies. A book review that I have written will be published in the upcoming October 2009 issue of the "Review of Communication."
Outside of school, I play drums, bicycle, collect and read comics, collect and listen to vinyl, and probably all sorts of other stuff.
