Digital Media & Learning Competition 1 Winners

On April 17, 2009,  each of the seventeen 2008 HASTAC/MacArthur Foundation Digital Media & Learning competition winners showcased their year's work at the Palmer House in Chicago. Featured below is the video kick-off to the showcase, highlighting the winners and their projects.

The first Digital Media and Learning Competition, administered by HASTAC and supported by the MacArthur Foundation, awarded a total of $2 million to 17 projects representing compelling work in the field of Digital Media and Learning. From a field of over 1,000 applications, seven projects won Innovation awards of $100,000 or $238,000; in the 2008 Knowledge-Networking category, ten projects received awards ranging from $30,000 to $72,000.
