Two faculty positions at Claremont Graduate University
THE SCHOOL OF ARTS & HUMANITIES - The Claremont Graduate University
(CGU) Department of Cultural Studies and the Department of English announce a tenure-track joint position to begin in Fall 2011 (PhD required). Applicants should
have strong scholarly credentials in some area of Latina/Latino Studies as well as 19th Century American Literature and Cultural and Literary Theory. We are especially interested in candidates whose work is transnational or comparative and opens up new ways of thinking about gender and race within American hemispheric studies.
The CGU Department of English announces a senior position in English, with appointment at the rank of advanced associate or full professor. Applicants should have strong scholarly credentials in some area of British eighteenth century, romantic, or nineteenth century literature, and an ability to teach and direct graduate study in other areas of British literature, 1700-1900, and in literary theory. Applications must be postmarked by November 26, 2010. Interviews of selected candidates will be held at the 2011 MLA conference.
