2009 Notice for the AHA Roy Rosenzweig Prize

The American Historical Association Announces the Roy Rosenzweig Prize in History and New Media for 2009

The
Rosenzweig prize is awarded annually for an innovative and freely
available new media project, and in particular for work that reflects
thoughtful, critical, and rigorous engagement with technology and the
practice of history.

Eligible entries for the Rosenzweig
Prize will have been launched in the year prior to the deadline.
Projects submitted for the Rosenzweig Prize in previous years should
not be re-submitted without significant additions or changes and will
be accepted at the discretion of the chair of the prize committee.

In a 1-2 page PDF,
entries should provide a method of access to the project (e.g., website
address, software download, etc.), indicate the institutions and
individuals involved with the project, and describe the project?s
goals, functionality, intended audience, and significance.

The entry should be sent to [email address provided by the AHA;
rosenzweigprize@historians.org?]. The deadline for submission of
entries is May 15, 2009. Recipients will be announced at the January
7-10, 2010 AHA Annual Meeting in San Diego. The award amount for the Rosenzweig Prize is $4,000.
