Monday, Nov. 22 5:30 PM
Breedlove Room, Perkins Library
How does commons discourse apply to the world of science? In this talk,
Professor Christopher Newfield discusses the open source benefits, beyond
software, for scientific studies. Using Hardt and Negri's idea of the
Commons, Newfield looks at technoscience, technology transfer, open
innovation, leveraged innovation and other issues at the boundaries of
science, law, and the humanities.
