Michael Goodchild is Professor of Geography, UC Santa Barbara and Chair of the Executive Committee of National Center for Geographic Information and Analysis (NCGIA). He is also a member of the American Academy of Arts & Sciences and in 2007 was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Geospatial Information and Technology Association.
