Topics

Topics--the keywords circulating in the HASTAC community--are an invitation to explore. Throughout the site, each event, news item, group, blog, and opportunity is tagged with one of six larger overarching topics (academia, community and policy, culture, HASTAC, multimedia, and technology). Click any of the topics below to explore content that has been posted in these broad categories; narrow your results by clicking on the more granular sub-topics (just click “Explore on this Topic” to view the complete list).

So, how does this work? Topics, sub-topics and user-generated tags can all be used as filters for content on the site. Whenever posting content to the site, you will be prompted to select one of these six topics to “file” your content for discovery by others. In addition to topics, you can also choose from and assign any number of more granular, prescribed sub-topics to a piece of content, as well as entering your own user-generated tags for further specificity.
