Brief Bio

I am currently pursuing a Master of Science in News-Editorial Journalism at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign; I received my BFA in Dance from the U of I in 2010. I am a featured dance critic on culturevulture.net and on ballet-dance.com.

I am particularly interested in the ways in which artists and art critics can utilize the Internet to connect with their audiences. Social media such as Twitter and Facebook, in addition to live chat forums and blogs, allow for increased conversations to occur between artists, critics and the general public. I am also interested in how technology and dance interact in live performance, and the implications that that has on dance as a genre.
