I am a doctoral candidate in the joint program in Communication and Culture at York and Ryerson Universities in Toronto, Ontario. For the past seven years, I have been developing multimodal resources, particularly in the field of career development. In 2005, my work was recognized with the Excellence in Educational Programming (NACE, and an Outstanding Acheivenment award (CACEE). Through this time, I have focused on the convergence between constructivism from post revolutionary Russia, and Constructionism in North America through the fields of popular psychology and pedagogical theories.
I am now appying this line of inquiry to the construction of multimodal databases exploring in particular to nodes of user/viewer choice and and the nature of their agency in navigating these interfaces.
