Brief Bio: Dave Lester is a Digital History Associate at George Mason University's Center for History & New Media. His undergraduate thesis analyzed the historical representation of gender and landscape in the Oregon Trail computer game, and research primarily focuses on public history and historical computer simulations. Dave is a co-organizer the American Studies Association's Digital Humanities Caucus, formerly the Digital Curator of the American Studies Crossroads Project, and a HASTAC scholar.
