Evan Buswell is a master's student of English at Portland State University, mostly at home within the disciplines of critical theory and cultural studies. His work centers around the task of uncovering the influence of social organization on epistemic practices. Currently, he is investigating the relationship between the development of modern finance and formal linguistic practices, such as modern algebra. Evan received his bachelor's degree in philosophy from the University of California at Santa Cruz, and before entering graduate school, he spent several years as a software architect and engineer.
