Brief Bio: Eric Chuk is a graduate student in information studies and an American Library Association Spectrum Doctoral Fellow at the University of California, Los Angeles. He is an alumnus of the linguistics department at California State University, Long Beach, where he completed a thesis dealing with the use of contextual features for characterizing authorship in editorials. Eric's current research interests include readability metrics and publishing/digitization policy. In addition, he has interned at CNN's video library in Los Angeles and seeks to apply scholarly insights in other non-academic settings. He plans to pursue a dissertation related to digital humanities and the future of reading.
