Halberstam is Professor of English, Gender Studies and American Studies and Ethnicity at USC. Halberstam is the author of 3 books: Skin Shows: Gothic Horror and the Technology of Monsters (Duke UP 1995); Female Masculinity (Duke UP, 1998); and In A Queer Time and PllCE (NYU Press, 2005). Halberstam is currently finishing a book on "failure" and beginning a book on BATS.
