I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of English at the University of Colorado, Boulder. I primarily study Romanticism. My research interests include the Romantic novel, travel writing, the gothic, media, and digital humanities, and I am working on my dissertation. Specifically, my dissertation investigates the ways in which Romantic-era travel writing is used in various media, from the 18th century to the 20th century.
I am a 2011-2012 Fellow of the University of Denver Institute for Digital Humanities (http://idhdu.com) and a Researcher for the Women Poets of the Romantic Period Special Collection at CU’s Norlin Library. I am also the webmaster for the North American Society for the Study of Romanticism Graduate Student Caucus (NGSC) (www.nassrgrads.com) and manage the NGSC blog. This year I am especially happy to be a co-organizer of the 18th- and 19th-century British Women Writers Conference, to be held June 7-10, 2012 in Boulder, CO (www.bwwc2012.com).
