I am a PhD candidate working with Paul Dourish at the intersection of anthropology, design / HCI, and feminist and postcolonial theory. My main gig is studying transnational design practice. I also tweak web 2.0 technocapitalism with Turkopticon as a side project.
Previously, I spent four years at Google as a User Experience Designer on a range of products including AdWords, Page Creator, Notebook, and some other things that haven't seen the light of day yet. My focus was on early stage design research, information architecture, and interaction design. I have an M.S. in Computer Science specializing in Human-Computer Interaction, a B.S. in Computer Science with honors in Science, Technology, and Society from Stanford Unviersity.
