Lisa Klarr received her BA in English and French from the University of Michigan-Dearborn in 2003 and her MA in English from Georgetown in 2005. She is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in the Program in Literature at Duke University. Her research interests include 20th Century American Literature and Culture with particular emphasis on how the shift from an industrial to a post-industrial society affects the aesthetic, social, and political imaginary of the US. Hailing from the Detroit area, she is invested in studying how the presence of urban decay informs cultural production.
