Steve Engel taught high school English for 14 years before entering the Joint
Program in English and Education at the University of Michigan. He was named a
Distinguished Teacher (White House Commission on Presidential Scholars) and a NYSEC
Educator of Excellence. He studies new media and textual circulation in academic writing.
