I'm a doctorate student in electrical engineering with a background in computer music, signal processing, parallel computing, and computer graphics. My chief interests are in video gaming, specifically the use of inexpensive graphics processors to perform non graphical functions within a game engine, such as AI, sound, and path-finding. I am also personally interested in retro-computing, having grown up with a TRS-80, C64, Amiga, Apple IIGS. Some of my personal projects involve extending the hardware of old computers by designing novel accelerators or adapting modern peripherals.
